  "very clever little boy" very clever to see that my friend and i are foreigners here but of course not russians naturally what would the russians be doing on U.S. of america island with so many animosities and hatred between two countries.   some recent threads have touched me emotionally and prompted me to reflect.

  when i think back to when i joined this forum, i was still struggling to come to terms with such a lot of pain.

  it has definitely been a journey, but there is so much i've come to terms with.

  the insidious bind the watchtower religion places on their members is unconscionable.. holding family and friends "hostage" as an extortion strategy may be their most potent weapon of enforced conformity.. .

  in effect, like an armed criminal who points a gun at you and threatens "your money or your life", the watchtower leadership.

  holds the power to separate dissenting members from those whom they most cherish.

  The org is holding everyone's family and friends hostage and they know it's effective. I know leaving causes great pain and you have to remake yourself I believe it's absolutely worth it. I believe that staying in when you know it's wrong is a slow and painful death and you give the org more power to do it to others. However, each will make their own decision and that's how it goes.

  Ridiculous Memorial Invitation!

  has anyone seen this year's memorial invitation?

  maybe someone could post a picture.. on the front is a question to the householder, 'how do you view jesus?'.

  then it gives multiple choices with accompanying pictues: .

  What is so misleading about that invite is the fact that the org spends very little time focusing on Jesus what their really doing is trying to usurp him.
